Investing my Energy to Become a productive Dancer
Learning must and specifically leaning how tom dance is one of the best ways in which an individual can boost one’s self esteem. Becoming a better dancer takes much hard work and practice. You have to clearly schedule your practice sessions timely and adhere to the schedule. This is something that I have learnt from experience.
I love different kind of music genres; country music is my favorite though I too love polka and dancing salsa which I’ve done since my days in college. I did so poorly in it during my first days of training. Actually, the process of learning is vigorous and challenging, sometimes discouraging as the expected results takes quite some time. You have to identify a certain class of dance group or partners whom you commit your time and energy fully in periodic sessions of either a few hours in a day to a few times in a week for a number of months or years.
In fact, without such commitment, you may never achieve your goal as there are no shortcuts whatsoever. But if due commitment and sacrifice is put into it, you end up becoming the person that everyone looks up to. People may even think that you were born with the talent or that you possess some hidden secret. But truth be told, to become successful in any venture, so much hard work must be put into it, however, sadly, people do not put never put the kind of effort into anything that dancers do.
It Takes Much Practice and Perseverance to become better in Dancing
During my college days, I put so much work into it and today I can stand to stay that I am a good salsa dancer who has actually come up with my own training sessions to teach my juniors about the same. I have actually combined the sessions with polka dancing that I am learning together with my students. The progress is quite encouraging. I choreographed the dance to include both traditional German polka and gallop. Thank you to my awesome dancers for learning how to polka in just 3 months, as well as taking on extra rehearsals to learn all these steps and formations – you guys are great!!
The best way to start learning how to dance is firstly learning how to move your body freely in your own way, to whatever music genre that you can best express yourself to. This helps to break your one’s self esteem and comfort zone and determine by yourself what really comes naturally out of you. The trick that I used to break my self esteem was locking me in a room. I then played loud music and just danced to whatever move came through my mind.
What the Future Holds for me
I made up my own moves and let go of my ego since I was sure no one was watching me. I did that for a few weeks and each time I ended my lone sessions, I would look myself up on the mirror and I could get the feeling that I had become better than my previous dance, though no one was actually assessing me. I did this until I developed the guts to face my instructor and also comfortably join a dance group. This can be made even easier by identifying a class or group of dancers who inspire you and then following after their footsteps.
Today, I also mentor young people in my neighborhood and those who love dancing, especially those who want to dance to lose weight. Sometimes I usually spot a talent in various artistic festivals and try to find sponsor who can help the youth who possess such talents to further their ambitions by getting enrolled into various artistic programs where they can further their dreams.
